Trained in France, Germany and Spain before arriving in the United States, Chef Dionot has an education and background that is among the finest. His passion for fine food and the best in culinary training served him well throughout Europe and in this country. For some time he was Executive Chef at the Hay Adams Hotel in Washington DC, a venue for the wealthy and powerful. He then joined the faculty of L’Academie de Cuisine in Maryland and taught there for 18 years. Chef Dionot went on to open, as a partner, Restaurant 2941 in Northern Virginia and it subsequently acquired great acclaim by all who dined there. Two years ago, Chef Dionot relocated to Scottsdale and, thus, began his planning for a culinary school. Chef Dionot will teach a comprehensive program from basic skills, stocks, soups, sauces, eggs, vegetables, meat fabrication, fish and shellfish, grains, pasta, pastry, hors d’oeuvres, Asian techniques, desserts and chocolate. Chef Dionot’s love of teaching is reflected in his enthusiasm to impart his vast knowledge to those who are eager to learn from one of the best. If you cannot find the time or do not have the resources to attend a full-time culinary program, this is the golden opportunity for you to achieve a higher level of proficiency in the kitchen. Upon completion of the course, you will feel as if you have attended one of the finest culinary educational programs available. PASTRY SERIES NEXT PASTRY SERIES STARTS: January 30th - Saturdays from 10:00am - 12:30pm March 17th - Wednesday Evenings from 6:30 - 9:00pm April 3th - Saturdays from 10:00am - 12:30pm This program is designed to teach you all about essentials in the world of the aspiring Pastry Chef. Led by highly qualified and talented Chef Pascal Dionot, he will walk you through essentials such as yeast and pastry doughs, quick breads, cookies, icings, chocolate tempering, individual pastries and assembled cakes only to name a few. The aroma of baking breads, the secret of the very best pastry dough for any pie or tart, decorating that special cake or plating individual desserts will make you the envy of family or friends.
